Here is information about Him from the Old Testament.
Psalm 24:
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
2 for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.
3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?
4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
5 They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior.
6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.
7 Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty—he is the King of glory.
“The earth is the Lord’s (property) … and all who live in it.” Wow.
While some people talk only about God’s love and His desire to bless us, at some point,
we need to understand that every human being is ultimately God’s property.
But God can own people, and He should, and He does. And He has expectations of each of us.
Evidence?
If you believe God created hell, you must also believe that God can and should send bad people there.
So, then God owns bad people.
And if God can let people into Heaven, He owns heaven and so He owns those people too.
We are not neighbors that share a subdivision with God, we are like His pet sheep that graze in His pastures.
Psalm 100:3:
“Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture."
Now, since there are only two final destinies, and God owns everyone,
we need to buckle down and treat God like God should be treated,
so when we see Him face-to-face, it will be as friends, not as enemies.
