Humble, humility and humiliation are related words. One who is humble will walk in humility. 

Those that resist humility, will at some point be humiliated. 

I think of braggarts who boast on themselves, then meet up with someone better at whatever they are bragging about. 

When the match is over, the braggart is humiliated. A humble contestant who loses, but competes without bragging, 

is simply beaten; perhaps self-embarrassed but not publicly humiliated by others, for not being able to live up to their bragging. 

They simple want to compete and see how far they can go in a contest, to test their mettle. 

And a humble 3rd place contestants are often more praised for their efforts that an arrogant 2nd place contestant. 

People know. 

Now, Us v. God. 

All human lives end, but human existence doesn’t end. We exist somewhere forever. 

God owes no one that hates Him, a pass to Heaven.

Finally, Lucifer-Satan  is in line to be the most humiliated creature in all existence. 

He has already been kicked out of Heaven, and is scheduled to be thrown into the eternal Lake of Fire. 

And yet he still rages against God.

We should learn a lesson by him.
